Officers on the scene noticed bruising on the victim's arm. She said the suspect tried to fight her brother when he attempted to step in between them and also swung the victim around by her right arm and hair, the report says. The victim said the suspect had been drinking when he arrived at the house and began punching a bird feeder, kicking lights and headbutting a lamp post in the yard. The victim told officers that she and Butler were married but recently separated, according to an incident report. Officers arrived at a Culpepper Circle home and found Butler leaning against a pickup truck with his shirt off, bleeding from the face.
